Founded in 1908 in Kiel, Germany, ELAC Nautik has grown into one of the worlds leading manufacturers of scientific echo sounders and multi-beam echo sounders. ELAC products are installed on many NATO and allied service vessels in addition to many scientific research vessels and both near shore and deep ocean commercial vessels Today, ELAC Nautik is a wholly owned subsidiary of L3 Communications, a New York based corporation. ELAC manufacture a range of single beam and multi-beam Echo sounders covering the range for installation on small inshore vessels to deep ocean vessels.
