EM Vision

Transient electromagnetic display, analysis and modelling

EM Vision is an interactive software product for the earth sciences. Applications include mineral exploration, engineering geophysics, groundwater studies, salinity investigations and pollution monitoring.

EM Vision allows you to display, analyse and manipulate TDEM data in a variety of ways, and to control forward and inverse modelling.

Features

With EM Vision you can:

· Display, analyse and model the responses from time domain electromagnetic (TDEM surveys)

· Read and process data from most commercially available TDEM field instruments prior to display and analysis

· Present data in the form of profiles, cross-sections, transient decay curves, images and contours

· Control forward and inverse modelling through the EM Vision interface

· Integrate geometric bodies with complex layered earth models and compute responses for theoretical analysis or for comparison with observed data

· View real-time graphics where appropriate to assist interpretation

Key elements in the design of EM Vision are its speed and ease of use. Fast computation and the ability to access large amounts of memory enables EM Vision to read, manipulate and simulate large datasets rapidly (including airborne data).

Data and modelling

Data display and analysis can involve simple presentations or complex variations of display types. Filtering of data, mathematical operations, resistivity and conductivity conversions plus decay analysis are some of the basic functions available.

EM Vision uses data which can be read from a number of EM sources. User selectable multi-channel information can be defined for import and only the desired lines and channels from the input data sources are used by EM Vision. Access to grids and images created by other software systems (e.g. Geosoft, Geopak, ER Mapper, USGS and Intrepid) are all accessible by EM Vision. Single or multi-channel gridding of EM multi-line data is available within the software
