Civil Engineering - Site Compliance Monitor


Designed and manufactured by Magus Electronics using the latest microprocessor technology, the Vibrosound Analyser ("Vibrosound") meets the requirements of all Vibration and Sound monitoring and is continually updated in line with legislative changes.

Supplied as a Sound only, Vibration only or a Simultaneous Sound and Vibration monitor; the Vibrosound is housed in a sealed IP65 case for operation in harsh environmental conditions, with the 3 event timer providing automatic, unattended monitoring.

Note: the units currently available in our rental pool are configured as vibration only, but given sufficient notice can be reconfigured as dual mode, sound and vibration recording.

The PC Link option provides storage of events before subsequent transfer to a compatible PC. User-friendly PC software is included for data analysis to BS6472, DIN4150 and USBM/OSMRE.

The Vibrosound is compatible with PCMCIA Type 2 Cards for additional flexibility, including 20Mb Flash Cards for increased event storage capacity.

User selectable - from 0. 1 up to 60 seconds without Flash Card Option.

FREQUENCY RESPONSE:
VIBRATION: 0.5 Hz to 1 KHz, with standard accelerometers, NOISE: A or C weighted, Linear for Air Overpressure to IEC651. Octave filters option.

MEMORY:
DATA RAM: 32K. Expandable to 160K without the Flash Card Option.
Protected by a separate battery. User information store for 10 fields, 12 characters/field and all user-selected options, with data retention for up to 10 years.

Other percentiles optional. FULL: As Block results with additional user data, Velocity and Air Overpressure or Leq graphs.

VIBRATION: TA1 (3 accelerometers mounted triaxially) or VT1 (single
accelerometer) as required.

NOISE :
Type 1 Precision Grade Microphone for Leq and linear sub 4 Hz Air Overpressure data. Remote mounting up to 1 OM.

MODES:
AUTOMATIC TRIGGER (IMPULSE) MODE: Triggers on any vibration exceeding the user defined trigger value. Used for blast monitoring or similar events. Event length user-selectable.

CONTINUOUS MODE:
Used to record Peak Vibration and Sound Leq (in dB(A) or (C)) over extended periods. Manual or automatic operation using 3-event timer, repeated daily. Data tabulated at user defined intervals. Ideal for Noise surveys and monitoring of construction operations to ensure compliance with project limits. Applications include: Piling, Railway, Highway and Bridge Structure Monitoring.

DUAL MODE:
Continuous monitoring for Vibration and Air Overpressure, with vibration exceeding the trigger value producing an impulse event. Each impulse event is printed as it occurs, with the continuous event printed at the end of the monitoring period.

3-4 weeks notice is required if sound recording is required in additions to vibration only

GENERAL:
Real Time Calender/Clock for Date/Time print-out with results and 3
event timer per day for unattended operation of several weeks.

LCD Display of 4 lines by 20 characters and full QWERTY keyboard.
