Civil Engineering - Site Compliance Monitor

Designed and manufactured by Magus Electronics using the latest
microprocessor technology, the Vibrosound Analyser ("Vibrosound") meets the requirements of all Vibration and Noise (leq) monitoring and is continually updated in line with legislative changes.

Supplied as a Noise only, Vibration only or a unique Simultaneous Sound and Vibration monitor; the Vibrosound CM-2 is housed in a sealed IP65 case for operation in harsh environmental conditions, with the 3 event timer providing automatic, unattended monitoring.

The PC Link option provides storage of events before subsequent transfer to a compatible PC. User-friendly PC software is included for data analysis to BS6472, DIN4150 and USBM/OSMRE standards.

The Vibrosound is compatible with PCMCIA Type 2 Cards for additional flexibility, including 20Mb Flash Cards for increased event storage capacity.

The Site Compliance Monitor CM2 and the Quarry Blast Monitor QB1 have many common features as given below. The differences between them are for the Site Compliance Monitor :-           Vibrosound Analyser for Vibration Only or Noise (leq) Only or Simultaneous monitoring.              for the Quarry Blast Monitor :-             Vibrosound Analyser with Vibration and linear Air Over Pressure with noise (LEQ) option.

Common Features

Vibration 3 or 6 channels: single or triaxial, acceleration, displacement, velocity, frequency, resultant peak particle velocity using 0.5hz accelerometer.
Linear air overpressure.
Noise (leq) option type 1 precision grade noise analyser.
Leqs: overall max 5 min, hourly leq +5 min, L10, L30, L50, L90, Lmax, user definable period for leq, 5 min leq, L10, L30, L50, L90, other percentiles optional.

Data tabulated to user defined intervals.

Three modes of operation: impulse, continuous or dual mode, incorporating
3 event timer
Battery/mains power operated, incorporating internal battery charger
VDV and DIN filter options.

MODES
AUTOMATIC TRIGGER (IMPULSE) MODE: Triggers on any vibration
exceeding the user defined trigger value. Used for blast
monitoring or similar events. Event length user-selectable.

         CONTINUOUS MODE
Used to record Peak Vibration and Noise Leq (in dB(A) or
(C)) over extended periods. Manual or automatic operation
using 3-event timer, repeated daily. Data tabulated at user
defined intervals. Ideal for Noise surveys and monitoring of
general construction operations to ensure compliance with project
limits. Applications include: Piling, Railways, Highways, Bridges etc.

         DUAL MODE
Continuous monitoring for Vibration and Air Overpressure,
with vibration exceeding the trigger value producing an
impulse event. Each impulse event is printed as it occurs,
with the continuous event printed at the end of the monitoring period.

Real Time Calendar/Clock for Date/Time print-out with results and 3 event timer per day for unattended operation of several weeks.                           LCD Display of 4 lines by 20 characters and full QWERTY keyboard.         Internal Printer/Plotter, 4 colour for superimposed graphs on plain or graph paper, complete with Take-up Spool and cover.                                      User-friendly software - Reprinting Event; 1 Min Pause; Quantity of full results printed before returning to Block Print-out when left unattended. Separate or combined graphs, user selectable.                                  Battery/Mains operated incorporating internal battery charger. Battery life: Typically 5 days; High capacity option typically 15 days.                    Computer Interface (RS232) and P.C. Software if required.                     Strong Case sealed to IP65, Weight: 10.5Kg.
