G-856AX Portable Magnetometer
The Geometrics G-856 is a work horse of the magnetic surveying industry. Originally designed in the 1980's the G-856AX has undergone periodic updates and modifications to allow it to compete effectively in the market place along with other budget priced proton precession magnetometers.
The G-856AX is probably the simplest memory magnetometer to operate, of any competitive unit on the market today, making an ideal instrument for the unskilled operator, and for student teaching purposes. It is supplied as standard with a set of field accessories for total field recording, but optional accessories include a gradiometer attachment and base station cabling and high signal strength sensor.
