Marine Seismic Streamers from Geometrics

The GeoEel Digital Seismic Streamer.

The GeoEel digital seismic streamer has the highest resolution of any digital streamer available today. Samples intervals down to 1/8msec, give the system an unprecedented 3.2KHz bandwidth, whist 24 bit ADCs ensure the highest possible resolution.

The system is lightweight, and at 41mm diameter is easy to handle, deployable from small boats and winches and yet with a 3.2mm wall thickness is rugged enough to be used as a bay cable or in transition zones.

The GeoEel is environmentally friendly, being filled with silicone oil ensuring no special shipping and handling requirements.

Flexible configurations and group lengths, multiple streamer configurations and programming are allowed.

Uses Geometrics well-proven CNT-2 marine software, on low-cost PC controllers.

GeoEel Solid

New to the market is the GeoEel solid. Using the same control system and ADC electronics the analogue sections are manufactured from solid, yet flexible polyurethane which can be safely shipped by air. The sections are 44.5mm diameter and house 8 channels with hydrophone groups from 3.125 to 12.5m intervals.

The MicroEel

The MicroEel is an analogue solid state hydrophone array. At time of manufacture, it can be configured as a single channel, multi-element streamer, or as a 12 or 24 channel hydrophone streamer. it is ideally suited to interfacing to the Geode or StrataVisor NZXP seismographs.
