The GR-256 Spectrometer is a  Gamma Ray instrument which uses a microprocessor to offer the user a powerful range of features. Front panel display of selected Region of Interest (ROI) channels may be in normal counts/time-period or may be automatically converted to ppm of eU/eTh or %K, using internal calibration standards. Complete 256 channel spectra may be recorded internally in memory (max. 60) - this allows direct calibration on government test pads. The instrument can also Auto-cycle at 1-999 second rate and output complete spectra on the RS232 port for external storage. In addition the GR-256 can output data to "audio" type cassette recorders as well as to a CRT display for laboratory testing.

This wide range of abilities allow the GR-256 to be used by a variety of users including: Uranium Exploration, Laboratory Analysis, Vehicle Mobile as well as Environmental Analysis applications.
