We are pleased to announce that Geomatrix Earth Science has been appointed the UK agents for prestigious New England based manufacturer Falmouth Scientific (FSI).

FSI manufactures a range of Oceanographic and monitoring instruments, including tide, wave and current meters, a portable side scan sonar system, sub-bottom profiling system and a solar powered AUV. We believe that the addition of FSI to our supplier portfolio is an excellent fit with our existing range of marine geophysical instruments from Geometrics and IRIS Instruments.

As part of our on-going investment in our rental pool we have recently added a 2.3 GHz ultra-high resolution GPR antenna, ERT Lab, a 3D resistivity data inversion program, and the highly respected RaExproPlus 2D seismic reflection data processing software - view our rentals

Sales of the G-882 marine magnetometer now pass the 100 mark. Geomatrix is very pleased to announce that it has sold its 100th G-882 marine magnetometer. Most of the purchasers have been repeat customers which is testament to the reliability and data quality produced by this superb instrument manufactured by Geometrics

MicroEel from Geometrics, a superior performance, solid state 24 channel, seismic streamer with 24 hydrophone groups at 3.125m spacing. Ideal for use with a Geode running marine software for recording ultra-high resolution multi-channel seismic data, and for use in environmentally sensitive areas.

Acquisition of Marine resistivity cable. To augment our range of Syscal Pro ERT systems we have added a 5m electrode spacing marine resistivity cable to our rental pool. Supplied on its own or with a Syscal Pro receiver, the cable set includes a PC running Sysmar software and an echo sounder /GPS unit for recording water depths and positions.

Sales of the popular G-882 marine magnetometer in the UK have now passed the 80 units mark. Director Chris Leech attributes this partly to the reliability and superb data quality achievable by the G-882 and also by the current trend for recording data from arrays of 2 or more magnetometers in order to increase detection resolution and also to reduce survey time. To cater for a growing demand from the mineral exploration industry we have invested in a state of the art 10 channel Induced Polarisation receiver, the Elrec Pro from IRIS Instruments, this is complemented by the purchase of an 8 dipole, 4 KW IP transmitter, VIP4000 and associated motor generator. Data sheets for the Elrec Pro and VIP 4000 can be downloaded from our rentals page or via the Electrical resistivity sub section.

To assist you in complying with ever tighter quality assurance requirements from your clients, all Geomatrix rentals are now supplied with a Certificate of Conformance. For a fee we can also provide an expanded certificate which shows data gathered by the instrument being rented, either on purpose designed test instrumentation, matched to that instrument type, or on our testing ranges.

For use with standard exploration seismographs, we have added the following downhole seismic tools to our rental pool for uses in cross hole tomography, shear wave measurements and up-hole P wave travel time measurement.
