Noggin 500

The Noggin 500 has been developed specifically for applications requiring high resolution subsurface imaging up to eight meters below the surface, depending on the material being investigated. The Noggin 500 combines the latest ground penetrating radar (GPR) technology into a light-weight, compact unit, making it simple to set up and use. With the Noggin 500 you can non-destructively locate metallic and non-metallic objects, subsurface material variations, voids, disturbed soil, and more.

The Noggin Smart Cart System simplifies your Noggin subsurface imaging surveys. The Smart Cart includes an integrated digital video logger (DVL II), an odometer wheel, and battery, making it a truly complete unit. The cart has four wheels for easy manoeuvring, and includes a sturdy frame to ensure longevity. The cart is lightweight and collapsible for easy shipping and storage and will fit in the trunk of a car.

The Noggin 500 is ready for use in almost any instance requiring subsurface mapping. With the Noggin there is no need to rely on as-built drawings alone, and in the case of pipe and cable mapping, no need to connect to the source. This system can be hand-towed or for easier surveys used with a Smart Cart.

Noggin Smart Cart System

The highly popular Noggin Smart Cart System simplifies your Noggin subsurface imaging surveys. The Smart Cart includes an integrated second generation digital video logger (DVL II), an odometer wheel, and battery, making it a truly complete unit. The cart has four wheels for easy manoeuvring, and includes a sturdy frame to ensure longevity. The cart is lightweight and collapsible for easy shipping and storage.

The Noggin Smart Cart is truly interactive. As you survey the subsurface, data scrolls across the DVL Screen. When you have gone over an area that contains subsurface information you need to mark, you can back up with the cart, and the display cursor will show you the position you're interested in on the screen. Then you can accurately mark the ground at the exact position of the object. Once you've made your mark continue on with your survey. The Noggin Cart is so smart that it won't start collecting data again until you reach the position you previously stopped and reversed at!

The Noggin Smart Cart is a fully integrated system. Once you've set up the cart, turn on the power and start surveying. The built-in software records your data in a chart-like scrollable image. The integrated odometer gives the chart an accurate distance measurement scale. There are virtually no user adjustments necessary and you don't have to be an expert. Just start pushing the Noggin Smart Cart around and you will quickly become a subsurface imaging pro.
